App Performance consists of both either completed and incomplete "Moments". An abandoned moment falls within the incomplete category when when the app moment does not complete, and the user does not wait longer than the predefined threshold (which by default is 5 seconds*).
Some reasons why a moment may be defined as abandoned would be that:
- the user exits the app before the moment ends
- the app crashes
- an unexpected code path is taken
